
1 cup sugar
9 tablespoons cocoa powder
¼ cup water
½ cup light corn syrup
1 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Boil first 4 ingredients to firm ball stage (244-248 degrees on candy thermometer). Remove from heat. Add the evaporated milk and vanilla. Stir well. Pour in a jar and cool. The mixture will seem runny at first but will thicken as it cools.
